People wear glasses because of an eye condition or for style. They can be used to represent your personality and your social status apart from your style. Certain factors like color, decoration, shape and material used in eyewear can give away a lot of information about you to others.

Eyewear color

It is a known fact that colors convey certain attributes. In the case of your eyeglasses too, they play the same role. Grey, black and brown are the colors that generally express royalty and professionalism. So if you are of a royal clan or an expert at what you do, these are the perfect colors for you.

White and blue colors express calmness and peace. So people normally perceive you to be a relaxed person if you wear glasses with these color frames. Bright colors like light green or orange can give out a vibe that you are a fun person as they represent charm and liveliness. Red and dark green represent boldness and domination, which is why you can wear them if you are a boss of a company.

Eyeglass material

Frames made of certain materials can also be used to show the kind of person you are to the world. Frames made of metals can express professionalism, so if you want to show your boss that you are a thorough professionals use these frames!

If the frames are made of plastic, it only means that you are a person who takes things coolly and doesn’t fret over small matters. Again the opinions can also be based on the color of the plastic frames.

Eyeglass shape

The often used shapes are geometric, round, oval, rectangular, cat-eyes, butterfly and star shapes. Geometric shape, rectangular and round are the ones used to convey your intelligence to the people. Cat-eyes glasses are used mostly by celebrities and entertainment industry related people as it gives out a vibe that the person is fun and loves playing pranks.

Normally people who wear prescription glasses go with rectangular half-frames. These are said to convey professionalism. Nerd glasses in oval shape convey that you are a brainy person. Round shaped nerd glasses are famous amongst celebrities like George Clooney and Meryl Streep.

Star shaped glasses and butterfly are for purely party purposes as nobody wants to look professional in parties. This represents the crazy side of you and is used more by women folk.

Eyeglass decoration

Some people make use of dazzling sunglasses with gems and glitter. People, who are in fashion industry, use these kinds of glasses more often as they want to maintain the fashion aspect.

People who like partying also like to wear these funky glasses that depict a “devil may care” attitude. Female college students usually like wearing glasses that have attractive stickers and decals on the frames like that of birds, stars and some other feminine objects. On the other hand the male students keep them plain to show off their machismo.

Penny is an expert associated with Next Optical, an online store for eyewear products. The store has a huge collection of the latest high fashion sunglasses, daily contact lenses and prescription glasses.

The word diamond is derived from the ancient Greek word “adamas” meaning “unbreakable.” The etymology alone should be a clue as to why these beautiful stones are highly-valued and widely used in diamond rings. The act of giving someone a diamond engagement or wedding ring symbolizes a bond that can never be broken.

Diamonds and Their Symbolism

Diamonds are known to be one of the hardest materials in existence. This means that they can withstand great force and pressure. Aside from their value as decorative items, diamonds are also commonly used in industrial applications. Diamonds were once believed to possess supernatural powers. In ancient times it was believed that diamonds could ward of enchantments and lunacy. Diamonds were also said to ensure victory to any warrior who carried one. It is no wonder that in modern times, diamonds are not only worn in diamond rings but in earrings, necklaces, and brooches. Diamonds signify strength, power, and resilience, and wearing a diamond in any setting can convey the same about you.

Diamond Rings Throughout History

The tradition of using diamonds in rings can be traced back to as far as the ancient Roman civilization. The Romans valued diamonds for their supernatural powers. The medieval Italians heard of these beliefs and added to them, dubbing the diamond as “pietra della reconciliazone” or “the stone of reconciliation” because it protected the union between husband and wife. Because of this, it became recommended this stone be set in diamond engagement rings.

Fancy colored diamond rings are slowly gaining popularity. Bored by the traditional white diamonds, more and more people have been choosing to use stones that are bold, bright, and full of personality. Modern men and women recognize that the things they wear reflect the person they are, so choosing a red, pink, blue, orange, green, or yellow diamond will depend on an individual’s personality and taste. Because these diamonds are very rare their value is also very high. Very often these particular diamonds cost much more than the more common white diamonds and because of this, they are highly sought after by the wealthy and prestigious. The rarity of these beautiful stones only adds to their value and meaningfulness. Visit http://www.serendiamonds.com for a huge selection of colored diamonds and diamond rings.

Naural Fancy Colored Diamonds Worn By Celebrities

Academy Award winner Carrie Underwood sports a beautiful flawless yellow round diamond on her ring finger. Reportedly priced at $1 million, this ring befits her bubbly personality. Tennis superstar Anna Kournikova wears an 11 carat pink pear cut diamond ring and who can forget the stunning 6.5 carat pink princess cut diamond ring that singer/actress Jennifer Lopez received from ex-fiancé, Ben Affleck? This was THE ring that set off a whole new trend in colored diamond rings.

There is no better way to show someone how much they are valued than surprising them with this beautiful gift. Colored diamond rings don’t have to be limited to engagements or weddings, after all, shouldn’t every occasion be exactly as joyous and full of love?

In addition to its impressive revenue growth amid a persistently poor economy and retail slump, Project Iris also significantly improved a number of other key operational metrics. Namely, a 10% monthly increase in new retailers throughout the U.S. are added to the company’s reseller network each month, with nearly 125 spas, boutiques, resorts, yoga, fitness and sport centers and other specialty retailers from coast to coast now carrying the lauded 100% American-made apparel. In addition, Project Iris’ catalog SKUs have increased 80% since the debut of the original line, and Web site traffic is growing exponentially – up 183% in May 2011 alone.

“Our success in this first year of operation is a direct reflection of our investment in production infrastructure, marketing communications, and strategic business relationships,” said Project Iris president and CEO Neil Hoynes. “Among other endeavors, we’ve sourced materials more efficiently and accelerated new product development initiatives while concurrently enhancing and refining our website content and social media presence. And, as always, our commitment to providing beautiful, top-quality apparel with the best possible customer service experience allows us to enjoy a high rate of loyal, repeat customers and referral business. I’m confident that as the economy rebounds and the financial climate improves in the marketplace overall, we are extraordinarily well positioned to continue our rapid sales growth.”

Made responsibly in the USA , Project Iris’ inimitable apparel retails between $39 and $53 and includes v-neck and scoop neck short and long sleeve shirts produced in buttery soft burnout fabric and luxurious ringspun cotton. Each garment is adorned with original artwork designs unlike anything else on the marketplace, offering women a fresh feminine fashion statement that exudes casual sophistication. Available prints, offered on an array of Spring and Summer shirt colors, include “Willows,” “Lotus Watercolor,” “Queen Anne’s Lace,” “Dandelions,” “Lunaria,” “Mums Bouquet,” “India Blue Feather,” “Hummingbird,” “Painted Garden,” and “Spring Blossoms” among other nature-inspired images.

“There is a lot more to Project Iris than the striking clothes we produce,” Hoynes notes. “This brand was developed with a purpose – to give women that like fashion an opportunity, through their own social consumerism, to easily contribute to causes that help other women. We’re spreading a message of giving and hope that is reflected through Project Iris fashions designed and manufactured with great care. With this line, we intend to raise awareness, and funds, to positively impact world hunger, malnutrition and the health of women and children in developing countries. Our initial contribution to World Food Program USA provided meals to more than 12,500 mothers and children in need.”

Caitlin Masters of World Food Program USA underscores the importance of such commerce-driven contributions, noting, “No issue is more urgent, or more foundational to other development goals, than getting maternal and child nutrition. The support from private business, such as Project Iris, to provide financial backing for this specific cause is vital to providing the necessary aid.”

Project Iris clothing is available to consumers online at www.ProjectIrisClothing.com and offline at discriminating retail clothing, resort, spa, yoga, and fitness boutiques nationwide. Wholesale and affiliate information may be accessed online at http://Store.ProjectIrisClothing.com.

traveling to the city that known as the center of mode or fashion, we managed to look so good or local people will look at us oddly. but we’re as traveler didn’t carry that much cloth to always look casual so here 10 cloth you should put on your backpack to make you look casual at traveling or backpacking.

1. Jeans

Jeans were invented for travelers. And cowboys. They don’t need ironing, no thief can get his hand in the front pocket, and you can wipe your sweat, grease and mucous on them without making too much of a stain.

2. A Hooded Top

Sometimes you just want to curl up and hide on the road without a hundred curious pairs of eyes seeking yours. Pull up the hood and you’re in world of your own. It’ll also save you from catching your death of cold when hitchhiking on a windy mountain road.

3. Decent Shoes

Your footwear is worth investing in. Sandals just don’t cut it with immigration and going barefoot leaves you open to catching ringworm. Boots are heavy to cart around and are too hot in tropical climates. A good pair of leather deck shoes, though will suit you in any climate. Just make sure they’re dark enough not to look too beaten up after the first few scratches.

4. A Blanket

Like Ford Prefect’s towel, a blanket can keep you dry, warm and serves as a useful weapon in close hand-to-hand fighting. A blanket can be a cushion on uncomfortable bus journeys and you’ll eventually learn to sleep with it pulled entirely over your head, protecting you from the cold, mosquitoes and curious passersby when sleeping outside.

5. A Lunghi

A lunghi is the oriental version of the blanket. Lightweight and easy to wash, it makes a good towel and can be worn around the neck to mop up facial sweat.

6. Something Smart

Even if you’re going to be hanging out with grungy hippies most of the time, there will be times when you need to look the part. Maybe you’re going for a visa extension, maybe you’re about to catch a plane and don’t want to look like a drug smuggler. A good wrinkle-free shirt or dress can transform your appearance from vagabond to respectable tourist in moments.

7. String

Staying clean and smelling good on the road will win you the respect of the locals, make you welcome in people’s homes and improve your love life no end. So carry a bar of soap and a ball of string to make an impromptu washing line beneath the fan in your hotel room.

8. No Iron

Only the most uptight traveler would travel with a plug-in iron but you can still lose the wrinkled I-slept-in-a-ditch-last-night look by shaking out your wet laundry before you hang them up. That way all the water goes to the bottom of the clothes and gravity helps pull it straight.

9. Don’t Buy Clothes in Tourist Shops

The thin grab on sale in backpacker ghettoes usually tears in a matter of days and marks you out as the kind of idiot who buys clothes in shops made for travelers. If you wonder why you get hassled to buy stuff all the time, take a look at what you’re wearing.

10. Bury Incense in Your Backpack

It’s tough to stay fresh and clean all the time. Get caught in the rainy season and your clothes might not dry or it might be so hot that you get through your entire wardrobe every 3 days. Bury a few opened packets of incense in your backpack and you’ll carry exotic scents with you wherever you go.

London College of Fashion, one the world’s leading providers of fashion education and exponent of the multi-billion pound fashion industry – today announced a collaboration to celebrate 150 years of a very British icon, the Tuxedo.

London College of Fashion (LCF) which attracts creative talent from all over the world, has teamed up with internationally renowned Henry Poole & Co of Savile Row and luxury fabric supplier Dormeuil on this major project to re-invent the Tuxedo for the 21st century: The Little Black Jacket – Celebrating 150 years of the Tuxedo.

The resulting work will travel internationally to a number of destinations, including as a ‘pop-up’ in Harrods and the Burlington Arcade in London and to Tuxedo Park in New York , where the black jacket was first worn in America – with other international dates for 2012 to follow shortly. Visitors will have the opportunity to chart the Tuxedo, a garment that effortlessly sums up traditional values of Britishness, excellence, fashion and sophisticated style – from its invention by Henry Poole and Co in Savile Row in 1860 to the legendary status that is has today.

Re-inventing the Tuxedo for the 21st century are a group of talented LCF BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring students who have been partnered with actors from the Drama Centre at LCF’s sister college Central Saint Martin’s to create tailor made tuxedos. To illustrate the creative process two films have been produced – the first a behind the scenes documentary, the second a stunning black and white fashion short.

As well as creating bespoke tuxedos, LCF has commissioned a publication by bringing together high profile faces from its extensive network of supporters, including Chairman of the British Fashion Council Harold Tillman CBE (himself an LCF tailoring alumnus) who has personally endorsed the project as a “perfect example of some of the finest British craftsmanship.” Other VIP stars who have been shot in their favourite Tuxedos, with an accompanying vignette outlining what makes this distinctive item of clothing so iconic, include supermodel Marie Helvin, musician Mr Hudson, Gordon Richardson (Topman) and jeweller Robert Tateossian.

Professor Frances Corner OBE, Head of College at London College of Fashion has also been photographed in a specially designed Tuxedo, which has been accepted attire for women as well as men even before Yves Saint Laurent’s stunning interpretation in the 1960s. She commented, “The Little Black Jacket project has been a wonderful and rare opportunity for students from different disciplines and courses – from design and styling to film and photography – to collaborate with industry and across colleges within University of the Arts London, to immerse themselves in this creative and exciting brief celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Tuxedo. This project has already attracted extraordinary interest and we are currently in discussion with various partners in the UK and overseas illustrating the iconic power of the Tuxedo.”

With a resurgence of interest in menswear, there is no better time for London College of Fashion to talk Tuxedo for the 21st Century!

Having great looking clothes does not necessarily mean having to spend your month’s salary in order to create your personal wardrobe. The important factor to take into account is that it is not the quantity that counts, but the quality of the clothing and the variations you purchase.

Better quality clothing does not mean that it will be more expensive, try to choose fabrics that are superior, for they will hang better to flatter your figure and last longer. The ideal alternative is a well-fitting skirt in a high quality fabric such as lightweight wool, which you may use throughout several seasons; avoid filling your wardrobe with badly fitting, multicolored skirts. A dark color such as black, navy or dark gray is a perfect choice, for you may wear it with different jackets every time as well as other accessories; this will change the overall look completely.

So try build up your wardrobe on a lower budget selecting a few dark skirts and pants as well as a few jackets and tops making sure the fabric is of very good quality, in order to fit better and last longer. Choose amongst fabrics such as linen, wool gabardine or wool crepe, these always fit better, and look for alternatives such as tighter fitting clothing or looser clothing for comfort; also look for belt loops that can change the appearance of the skirt or pants.

To further enhance women’s clothing, accessories are also important, these will embellish a particular item and can change the form of the clothing completely. You may look for inspiration in fashion magazines or at fashion shows, where you can get great ideas to coordinate different accessories to your clothing. Belts are very good accessory alternatives, you should opt for a leather belt with a distinctive buckle. Silk scarves can also remarkably change the look of women’s clothing, when worn over the shoulder or over one shoulder fastened with a brooch.

Make sure you use sound judgment when shopping, this will considerably help with a low budget; choose colors that suit you for the color scheme is one of the most important factors in women’s clothing. Look out for the contrast the colors have with your complexion and figure and match the skirts, pants and jackets with the blouses or tops. Try varying the colors and abandon those neutral colors that you feel may be safer to wear; try wearing cobalt or peacock blue with a brown suit, or deep purple with a moss green colored suit; be a little more daring!

Once you have chosen the fit and styles, shop around during sales at the shops that sell better quality women’s clothing that suit your tastes; it is a waste of time searching through all the shops, choose your favorite clothing shop and visit every few weeks or so, until you find the right outfit and price to go with it. Consignment shops are also a good solution for designer clothes at budget prices, make a list of the clothing you need and have it handy, this will avoid all unnecessary expense on items you do not really need.
