how to make a garden

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

A garden is a place where a number of plants are planted in a specific manner for the purpose of aesthetic beauty.  Just by planting some plants and lawn one cannot make a garden look beautiful.  Making a garden requires some amount of plant knowledge and the ability to arrange the plants aesthetically.

If you wish to employ a garden contractor, it is best to look out for one who has had a reasonable amount of experience in making a garden and one who has trained staff.  The reputed contractors too can give you a lot of trouble by not adhering to the specifications that are to be followed in making the garden. For example, if a tree requires a pit of 3′ x 3′ x 3′ to be dug, he may dig a pit of 3′ x 3′ x 2′ or he may dig  a pit of the correct specification but while filling it with fresh mixture of garden earth and manure, he will fill the bottom part with the excavated infertile soil. (There is nothing wrong however in using the excavated earth if it is of good quality.) Both will not let the plant grow properly.

It is best to spend some extra money and have a good garden made rather than be fooled by the enormously low amount quoted by some garden contractors.

You can however make your own garden in the following way.

Draw out a landscaping plan for your garden. You do not need to be an expert in  drawing. A rough sketch will do. A number of factors will have to be considered in making a landscape plan, such as the topography of the are, the location of the house or building, whether the area is in a sunny of a shady location, the amount of land available in making a garden, the availability of water, the time that you can spend in maintaining the garden and most important of all the amount of money that you are willing to shell out in making the garden. how to get pregnant

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010
There’s a lot more to getting pregnant than just having intercourse sometime in the middle of your cycle and hoping to see that positive pregnancy test instead of your period.
I learned this the hard way.

When I was trying to conceive, I found out that there was a lot that I didn’t know. Which led me to making a lot of big mistakes which were actually preventing me from getting pregnant.

how to take good care on baby | baby care basics

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Baby care basics weren’t something I thought about while pregnant. I distinctly remember when I arrived home from the hospital with my first little bundle of joy. It was a sunny but bitterly cold morning in December. We’d spent many hours at the hospital fussing with the car seat and her going home outfit, complete with winter snow suit. I was tired and sore and yet terribly excited. I walked up the three flights of steps with my episiotomy stitches pulling the whole way, anxious to get my baby in my home.

The funniest thing about the whole day was that once we did finally jump through all the hoops and cross all the hurdles and got home we were perplexed as to what to do next. As she sat sleeping in her car seat in the middle of the living room floor, my husband and I debated and finally argued over what to do with her. Should we lay her in her new crib? Should we feed her again? Maybe she should have a change of clothes. Finally she woke up and cried, giving us an opportunity to try out all of our new parenting skills. The good news is that taking care of a baby’s basics needs, particularly as a newborn, is very simple. I’ve collected a group of instructions on taking care of your new baby from bathing to diapering, from feeding to holding. From these articles you can get a basic sense of how to take care of a new baby, whether it’s your first or your fifth. (This goes for mom and dad!) (more…)

Eye candies??

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

This is a weird story. I have just been asked to write about clothing made out of candies and sweetmeats. At first I thought there might be some hidden meaning to an otherwise no-sense story. Well, apparently it means I just have to write a story on clothing made out ofcandies. Weird, right? Wrong!

St. Patrick's Day Candy and Gifts

Initially, I thought so too. I mean, who would wear dresses made out of candies and chocolates and in turn become a food for all those ants and other food starved insects? Oh! You become a food all right, only not to ants, but to your better half and, in the bedroom. Now, do you get my drift?

There are dresses made out of candies out there, believe it or not. From prom dresses to a display in a museum (when you visit Malaysia, go to the National Museum to feast on this dress), or to even tease your boyfriend, candy dresses are available in varied shapes and sizes. I really think it’s sweet (duh!), sexy and even kinky. With this sweet bikini on, you sure are one heck of an eye candy.

The sweet necklace that used to adorn your neck when you were young has just come back as this kinky g-string. This one-size-fits-all candy bikini is a very sweet addition to your lingerie collection. Just imagine, you are running a little low on energy, literally or figuratively and you know a little chocolate will shoot your energy level, all you have to do is just pick one from you! Gross! Not really! It won’t be so repulsive if the same were nibbled away by your partner, now will it?

I know Valentine’s Day has just passed us by. But that shouldn’t stop you from showing your love to your girl. Bring back the fun and naughtiness into your bedroom with the candy bra and bikini set. Or even better, you could get the ‘do your own candy dress’ kit and have some fun making it with your girl.

There are other ideas to make you a feast for eyes without having to expose yourself so much. Candy clothing or dress made out of candy wrappers for Halloween can be pretty original too. While not exactly a candy, it has enough association with candies to make your dresses mouth wateringly good.

The candy clothing fad is best done with some caution, though. Don’t you go about wearing chocolate dresses to fashionable and high end parties! When it starts getting warm, and your clothing starts melting, you will give a whole new meaning to the concept of “mouth watering” looks. Unless that’s something you are seriously, madly and kinkily interested in, better keep your candy clothing for your bedroom, to be softly nibbled away by a man.

In the end, I leave it to you to decide wherein lies the real fun, eating the chocolates or…
