Engineering is a science discipline subject , very vast and broad which is broken down many different subjects. The fields are concern with different areas of concerned engineering works .

Though initially , the engineer is trained in specific disciplinary subjects . Throughout the students career the student or the engineer will become multi disciplined , having worked in several areas like chemical engineering – it is the exploitation of chemical principles in order to carry out large scale chemical process , as well as designing new specialty materials and fuels. Next is the civil engineering – it is the design and construction of public and private works , such as infrastructure (like roads , railways , water supply and treatment etc) , bridges , buildings and dams etc. ; third is the electrical engineering – a very beam y area that may comprehend the design and study of various electrical & circuits , generators , motors , electromagnetic devices , telecommunications etc. fourth one is mechanical engineering – it is the design of physical or mechanical systems , such as power and energy systems , aerospace / aircraft products , weapon systems , transportation, power trains , kinematic chains , vacuum technology and vibration isolation equipment .

There are some fortes sometimes with the traditional fields and form new branches . A new or future domain of application , that is commonly defined temporarily as a substitution or subset of existing disciplines ; there is often gray area as to when a given sub-field becomes large or prominent enough to warrant classification as a new branch . One key indicator of such emergence is when major universities start establishing departments and programs in the new field.

For each of these fields there exists considerable overlap, especially in the areas of the application of sciences to their disciplines such as physics, chemistry and mathematics.

And India Is Home To Some Of Best Engineering Institutes That Offer Both Under Graduate And Post Graduate Courses. In Addition To The Four Metropolitan Cities, The Top Engineering Colleges In India Are Located In Other Cities Like Kanpur, Roorkee, Guwahati, Vellore, Kharagpur And Allahabad Among Several Others.
