Eye candies??

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

This is a weird story. I have just been asked to write about clothing made out of candies and sweetmeats. At first I thought there might be some hidden meaning to an otherwise no-sense story. Well, apparently it means I just have to write a story on clothing made out ofcandies. Weird, right? Wrong!

St. Patrick's Day Candy and Gifts

Initially, I thought so too. I mean, who would wear dresses made out of candies and chocolates and in turn become a food for all those ants and other food starved insects? Oh! You become a food all right, only not to ants, but to your better half and, in the bedroom. Now, do you get my drift?

There are dresses made out of candies out there, believe it or not. From prom dresses to a display in a museum (when you visit Malaysia, go to the National Museum to feast on this dress), or to even tease your boyfriend, candy dresses are available in varied shapes and sizes. I really think it’s sweet (duh!), sexy and even kinky. With this sweet bikini on, you sure are one heck of an eye candy.

The sweet necklace that used to adorn your neck when you were young has just come back as this kinky g-string. This one-size-fits-all candy bikini is a very sweet addition to your lingerie collection. Just imagine, you are running a little low on energy, literally or figuratively and you know a little chocolate will shoot your energy level, all you have to do is just pick one from you! Gross! Not really! It won’t be so repulsive if the same were nibbled away by your partner, now will it?

I know Valentine’s Day has just passed us by. But that shouldn’t stop you from showing your love to your girl. Bring back the fun and naughtiness into your bedroom with the candy bra and bikini set. Or even better, you could get the ‘do your own candy dress’ kit and have some fun making it with your girl.

There are other ideas to make you a feast for eyes without having to expose yourself so much. Candy clothing or dress made out of candy wrappers for Halloween can be pretty original too. While not exactly a candy, it has enough association with candies to make your dresses mouth wateringly good.

The candy clothing fad is best done with some caution, though. Don’t you go about wearing chocolate dresses to fashionable and high end parties! When it starts getting warm, and your clothing starts melting, you will give a whole new meaning to the concept of “mouth watering” looks. Unless that’s something you are seriously, madly and kinkily interested in, better keep your candy clothing for your bedroom, to be softly nibbled away by a man.

In the end, I leave it to you to decide wherein lies the real fun, eating the chocolates or…

volkswagon issued to release cost $600 car

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

A forwarded email with photos of a new car that seats one person, gets 258 miles to the gallon, runs between 62 and 74 miles per hour and costs only $600 US. It says this car will be the most economical car on sale next year.

The Truth:
The Volkswagen (VW) L1 is a real car, seats 2 and if released would have a price tag $25,900.

Volkswagen has designed and built the L-1 with an eye toward better gas mileage and lower carbon emissions. It has not yet resulted in a production model to be released to the public, but Former VW chairman Dr Ferdinand Piëch actually drove the L1 to the VW shareholders’ meeting in Hamburg from his office in Wolfsburg which lies about 84 miles South of the German port. Piëch recorded 317.4mpg with an average speed of 43.5mph.

The two passenger car is equipped with a carbon fiber body, 299cc single-cylinder diesel engine, anti lock brakes, driver’s airbag and an electronic stability program. The L1′s price tag of $25,900 was much higher than what the German automotive company targeted for consumers.

The UK Telegraph followed the progress of the L1 over the years reported that the project had been scrapped and later restarted. The L1 has design challenges such as the passenger having to sit bobsled style with their legs around the drivers seat as well as excessive noise and vibration adding to passenger discomfort.

Piëch now heads VW’s supervisory board and is still working on fuel efficient vehicles for the German automaker. The L1 appeared to be a stepping stone and a learning tool to design more efficient vehicles. Piëch said, “We will never build a one-litre car, but it could give us the knowledge to build a two-litre car.”

The VW company also introduced a 3 liter vehicle, the Lupo, which seats four and goes about 78 miles to a gallon of fuel.

unique floor design by motoi yamamoto

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

A former dockyard worker, Motoi Yamamoto is now one of Japan’s most talented artists, known all over the world for his intricate artworks, made of salt.

His working with this unusual medium was caused by the death of his younger sister, back in 1994. Mr. Yamamoto says that by working with free-form salt he is able to touch precious memories from the time his sister was alive, something he just can’t do by simply looking at pictures or reading a diary.

Some of his most amazing works are the intricate salt labyrinths. When he’s creating them, Motoi Yamamoto feels like he is following a trace of his memory that he can only reach when the work is completed. He stands in a cross-leg position for hours-on0end carefully laying the lines of salt, until he reaches the essential point in his memories.

Salt plays an important role in many cultures Like Hinduism or Japanese Shinto. Motoi Yamamoto uses salt as a life-giving substance, so after his art installations are no longer exhibited, he insists the salt be thrown back into the ocean so it can continue its path.

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

The word “batik” is Indonesian in origin, even if the concept was known by Egyptians and Indians. Batik Girl

The word Batik is originally an Idonesian-Malay word and means to dot .This art of textile is spread in the hindu and malay world, but Indonesia is certainly the heart of the Batik. This way of painting and coloring textile has reached its higher degree of excellence in the Island of Java , in cities like Solo, Yogyakarta, Pekalongan or Cirebon. From Java this ‘batik’ cloth was exported to other islands of the archipelago and to the Malay peninsula.

On the 17th century, the Javanese sultanate of Mataram accorded important ceremonial functions to the Batik clothes. Sultan Agung of Mataram is known to have dressed in white cotton decorated with Indigo blue, and his court dancers wore kain kembangan colored with a red organic dye.

During the past two or three centuries batik has become one of the principal means of expression of the spiritual and cultural values of Southeast Asia.
