I have been following this story in my blog for a number of weeks. My worries were the phrase “genetic purification” which actually appears to have no scientific meaning whatsoever. I now believe the return of the four Komodo from Bali Marine and Safari Park to the islands to be a dangerous move. There is a risk of introducing infection to the resident population.
